t’s happening—snow has finally touched the peaks of Niseko and Mt. Yotei.

This week’s photo captures that quiet, powerful moment when the seasons shift. The top of the mountain turns white, the air feels sharper, and everyone in town starts to look up a little more often—checking how far the snow has come down the slopes.

It’s a small change, but one that means everything here. The first snow brings excitement, anticipation, and a sense that the rhythm of winter has begun once again. Soon, the fields will freeze, the lifts will turn, and the silence of autumn will give way to the sound of skis on fresh snow.

For now, it’s just a dusting—a gentle reminder that winter is near.
