As the sun sets over Niseko Range, the mountains draw a sharp, quiet line against the evening sky. The air cools quickly, and just above the ridgeline, the moon appears—soft, pale, and steady.
This is the calm before winter. The fields are silent, the colors fading, and yet, there’s beauty in this in-between moment. You can almost feel the snow waiting, just beyond the horizon.
The ridges that now glow gold will soon be covered in white. The wind will sound different, and the light will reflect in new ways. But for now, it’s peaceful—a quiet reminder of how quickly the seasons turn in Hokkaido.
