Today marks the end of my Australian ski season. It’s always a little bittersweet—the mountain quiets down, the lifts stop turning, and we take one last look before the snow begins to melt away.
Last year, the season ended far too soon. Poor snow conditions brought everything to a close in the first week of September—weeks earlier than anyone had hoped. But this year was different. The snow stayed. The runs held. The lifts kept spinning, all the way to the very end. A full season, from start to finish.
There’s something special about a season that lasts. It’s not just about the skiing—it’s about the people, the laughter, the early mornings, the changing light, and the quiet gratitude that comes when it’s finally over.
So here’s to the snow that stayed, the memories made, and the mountains that keep calling us back.
